Only time righjt now for a quick update. Busy day today finding boxes, dog to vet, few minutes at my work, etc.
Jim was up in the Cadillac Chair for 90 minutes yesterday. He did OK, but slept most of the time. Come to find out he was bored. Next time he is up we will ask for a portable oxygen tank & wheel him around the floor. That will be good for him. He can only stay up in the chair 2 hours at a time due to the sore - let's call it what nit is, a decubitus ulcer, Stage 2 - on his bottom. We tried yesterday keeping him more completely on his side to take the pressure off.
His temp yesterday was 100.4. I called his nurse a few minutes ago & it went to 100.8 during the night. Pray this will go away & that he does not have to go back on the antibiotics with all the issues they bring.
His spirits remain high & positive. He is doing a Bible Study every night with Josh & Monika in the Gospel of John.
Speaking of Josh & Monika, please pray for me as the time of their departure draws near - July 1. I don't think I have to elaborate on this, but this will be really hard for me.
But this I know: My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches....
and His riches are endless. I know He will be with me & ease my loneliness.

PS: Susie, Of course I remember you & I am so glad to know you know about Jim. I had even wondered how I could let you know.

Marilyn,
Both you and Jim are in my thoughts constantly and in my prayers. I wish so much that I could be there to help you get through this difficult time and to spend time in the Word with both of you. I feel so very connected to you.
I am praying for Jim’s total healing as well as your for specific requests. I also pray that you have the support you need there after your Mom & Josh & Monica leave.
Would you like a Stephen Minister to walk through this with you? I can network and find someone in your area if you like. If you want to talk more about it you can reach me at 214-448-4373.
Much love to you both,
Susie

Dear Marilyn & Jim – As I was walking this morning along the bay, watching the light changing in the clouds, from light yellow to a hue like a soft peach, watched 2 herons fishing successfully, one fish after another, and then to see them fly off together . . . in the sterileness of the hospitals and care centers, may this brief picture of the vast ocean, the endless sunrises and the magical flight of the Great Blue Heron remind you of the beauty within and without that God has gifted each of us in His Son, Our Lord and Savior, our Friend, our Leader, our Life. Marilyn,
We had the honor of visiting Jim tonight. Remember Experiencing God Bible Study – go where you see God at work!! Well, we went – and it was in Jim Hersey’s hospital room!! Listening to him share how exciting it is to see God working everyday, and how much of an honor it is through all the hardship to know that God is being Glorified makes it all worth while – strengthened our faith and trust in God!! We were also encouraged to see his perserverance and desire to be as independant as possible by coming up with a suctioning device so he doesn’t have to ask for help!! Praise God for Josh and Monika and their walk with our Lord!! We all thanked the Lord for the wonderful progress that has been made and for giving Jim his voice so he can proclaim to all that the Lord is Good!! My prayer is that the Lord would fill his walls with posters of scripture and encouragement to help keep his eyes focused on Jesus the author and perfector of our faith and not on the circumstances!!
So sorry we missed you!!
