Jim had a good day yesterday. His temp remained down! The heel looks at least 50% better due to the "floating". Any & every part of his body is subject to pressure problems even though he is on a special mattress.
The sugars are still high. While we understand all the factors that can impact this, we are going to ask for an Endocrinologist to see him. His sugars were much better controlled at Osborn.
The chest xray was much improved yesterday, also. Pulmonary Doc said he thought Jim had pneumonia again, but now thinks it it atelectasis - collapse of portions of the lungs. Please remember that even though Jim is off the vent, his breathing and cough will continue to be a potential problem. We all aorked hard on coughing yesterday.
There are those who you never read about here who are providing help to us on a daily basis. Without names being mentioned, please join me in prayers of thanksgiving for their time & efforts. I thank God for sending me friends like this and still can't believe sometimes the lengths they will go to help us out.
John 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Marilyn,
After reading your blog yesterday I was pondering all day the reasons that Jim’s sugar has been so high – it just shouldn’t be that way with all the available resources!! I was very relieved when I read today you will ask for an endocrinologist!!
You’re the best wife in the whole world for Jim and being enpowered by the Holy Spirit your absolutely, perfectly, magnificient – Praise God!!
2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His!!

Marilyn,
We are glad to hear about the foot continuing to heal. We check the blog every day for news and updates. Thank you so much for continuing to do it, and for helping us know what to pray for. I spoke with Grandmother yesterday and she sounded very good. Rest assured she is in good hands! And Jim is in the good hands of you, the friends that are helping, the medical staff, and most importantly the Lord. We continue to feel reassured by your tremendous faith. We’ll pray for the temp to stay down, for the continued healing of the foot, and for improvement of the breathing and coughing. We love you very much!
