Thursday July 24 Special Request
24 July 08 - 06:53
I met with Pam, the Nurse Educator yesterday, then Jim joined us for a while. It was a special time for Jim & I as she talked about our future together. When she spoke of us going out to dinner or a movie, I burst into tears for I could not imagine this ever happening. I could only see Jim & I stuck in the house forever. She said it would happen; maybe not right now, but it will happen. As Jim's body adjusts to this new situation, things will calm down & we will be able to get out together.
She said I should put out the word & ask if there are any who would be willing to learn about Jim's condition so I could have some time away from home without having to pay for someone to come in to stay with him. She will train anyone who is interested & willing. No medical experience is necessary, just a willing heart. If there is anyone who would be interested, please call me.
I fed Jim his lunch & he did fine. He drinks a lot of fluids & taked small bites & there is no problem. He even had some chocolate milk, which was a real treat as he loves chocolate! His sugar is doing good, he is coughing good & except for some sleep problems, is doing real well.
Coild someone keep their eyes open to the ads in the newspapers & those free magazines that advertise vehicles for sale? We need a van with a side wheelchair lift. I have zero knowledge of buying a vehicle, so I will need someone to also guide me in that process when & if we find one.
About getting the room ready. My brother is coming from Alabama Aug 3-9 to help me here in & around the house. Diane, thanks for the offer of help. Let me know your availability that week. Not only do we need to clear much from the room, it will need to be cleaned really good, too. Kathy, if you read this & still want to help, you're on, but I know it is a long way for you from Scottsdale. Any help would be appreciated, specially help for my brother, Jim, in moving furniture out of the room.
I still need to sell my piano. It is a Kohler & Campbell 5'1" Baby Grand, traditional high polished black finish with brass trim. It is 6 years old, excellent condition. Cost was $6000, selling for $4000. Please talk this for me.
God Bless! Marilyn

Marilyn,
I rejoice in the progress you are having. If schedule permits, I would be available to help your brother with moving things as you need.
Are you going to do any of it on Sunday, August 3rd?
Please let me know,or if it is to be another day.
Tell Jim you are in my thoughts and prayers.
