Jim did get the trach yesterday, as well a change of the site of the central line. He has a fever, he has pneumonia, has an infection somewhere. That is why they changed the central line. In spite of all this, he looks great, his spirit is steadily on the Lord.
The doctor suggested starting him on an antidepressant. Earlier, Jim had asked for the CD's of the Bible we have. He told the doctor the scriptures are his antidepressant. He told Pastor Derek "Take my hand, Pray. I have peace" Also, "I have been stoned like Paul and left for dead, but I am not. I'm alive!"
When I was having a "melt-down, good old fashioned hissie fit" he reminded me that he & I will have an impact on others by the grace & love & peace we show, that this is part of His - God's - plan. Needless to say, I was pierced by God's Holy Spirit to straighten up & get my act together!
Earlier in the afternoon I had to tell Jim that there is some concern he might not be able to come off the respirator. This was a little hard for him. When he gets concerned or frustrated he closes his eyes & refuses to open them. Then, after a bit, he is right back. I know he is praying when he does this.
Just to clarify: My boss did not do this surgery, he has just been there & has been very supportive. I do not have migraines, just had a headache on Friday from lack of sleep. I am sleeping much better now.
Thank you for all your prayers and acts of love & compassion. God is good. Jim & I both are trusting Him. I can tell you for sure: He will enable to do what we could never do on our own.

Jim,
I don’t know you, but I want you to know that you and your family are being lifted up in prayer right now. Its inspiring to read how God has laid a hand of peace upon you, and that you are able to be strong during a difficult time. I am from the 4×4Him site, and Bill has posted some of the information up about your accident. I just want to let you know that God is in control, that He is the mighty healer, and that His plan for your life continues on, even through difficult circumstances are around you. Keep your eyes on the Lord, and he will lead you through this. God Bless you brother, we are all praying for you!

Jim and Marilyn,
On one hand, our hearts deeply hurt for you and on the other hand, we Praise the Lord that you have Him to cry out to, strengthen you, give you comfort and peace, and most of all give you hope for the future! We pray that “In this day of trouble He will hide you in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide you; and that He will set you high upon a rock”. Psalm 27:5 Because of Him you can say, “I am strong, courageous, and firm; I fear not and am not in terror, for it is the Lord my God Who goes with me; He will not fail me or forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:6 Thank you for keeping us updated so we know how to pray! We Love You!! Wesley and April Still

We have been praying since Sherry and Jim called us about the accident. I was so glad that Sherry sent me this site and to hear the words that Jim spoke. God is always our strength. We will keep praying.
